Day Four...twinkies, and stop lights and margaritas, oh my!

Day Four of the Apple Dumpling Gang's Second Annual Shop Hop
Today was rather subdued. I finally got some sleep last night!!! We had a relaxing breakfast on the patio and then Patti decided she needed a nap. She slept all morning. Sherry and I went back to the patio and waited for the old folks to gather some energy...they finally came down around noon. We went back into town to do a little shopping. You'll never believe this but the ACE Hardware here has tons of fabric! More than the one in Sauk, but it was more pricey too. I had a Moolatte...love those things :) We went to the Mexican restaurant with Mary and Dan and had a very nice visit. The Margaritas were very good...and quite potent :)

Richard ran his third stop light on this trip. He blamed it on Sherry this time and said it was because she was playing with the window...then as he wants to switch lanes...blaming it on Sherry again...he almost crashed into a car in front of us and drove into the lane of oncoming traffic! We were in town at a stop light so not much danger...we all had a good laugh, except Richard. Sherry thinks Richard brings out the piss and vinegar in her and she has been after him this whole trip. Today she explained to Him what "monkey butt" is and a few other things that may not be appropriate for the world wide web.

Oh, I almost forgot! Richard, after being so flustered about the stop light incident, takes a wrong turn and we ended up on the interstate going the wrong direction...had to go to the next exit. We made it and everyone is up in the rooms watching tv

I didn't get to go to the battle site. Richard said that there is no point because there are no dead people or even dead horses to see. He just didn't get it. The we all got in a long conversation with another couple on the patio. She wanted to see the battle site too, but he agreed with Richard. They were from out East somewhere and were just touring around.

Sherry got some really great pictures on her camera but forgot the cord so I can't put them on the blog until we get home. Patti forgot her cord too or I would share her pictures with you.

Tomorrow we are leaving in the morning to go up the mountain. It should be beautiful! I'll talk to you tomorrow!!!
