Touring...

We stopped at a gas station becasue we saw them making huli huli chicken when we passed on our way to the zipline. They were out of the chicken because of the Super Bowl but the girl recommended that we stop in Waimea at a family restaurant, The Paniolo Country Inn. We did and Al enjoyed fish and chips and I had a burger, but...the best part was the dessert! We had an ice cream pie that was made of oreo cookie crust, macadamia nut ice cream, carmel sauce, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, toasted macadamia nuts...and a cherry! Forgot to take a picture. It was Ono!!!

The waiter at the restaurant suggested we take the scenic tour around the northern point of the island. We did...and this is what we saw.

We literally drove into the clouds!

We saw a whale blow and did see the whale but I clicked too slow!

Al is amazed at the different layers of lava.

 We knew we wouldn't make it back to the motel in time for the sunset so we pulled over to the side of the road and took these pictures.

The moon came out and these two were taken from our deck. Time to relax!
