Leaving Houston today. This city will NOT be on my list of places to visit again. San Antonio will be much better! I think a big part of my issue here is the traffic and the "too fancy" hotel. Guests must use valet parking for 27.00 a day or go find a ramp somewhere and shuttle here. Rates are 260.00 per day plus a bunch of taxes... even a sports tax??? What is that? Water. ..5.00 per bottle. No breakfast! Not impressed by the room or decor... Hamptons are better. A window washer or whoever they were outside our window the entire stay. .. Going up and down on their scaffolding. ..sucky view and had to keep the curtain closed for privacy. Wireless wasso bad... Had to leave to get good reception. Bathroom lights were so dim I couldn't see to put on my make up! Housekeeping doesn't understand English. I asked for hand towels and got wash cloths...I had to ask for coffee, kleenex and shampoo. I will be going online to review this place when we return. The Royal Sonesta....not recommended. Next post will be positive!!! Promise :)
