We got stuck in a traffic jam last night for over 45 minutes because a herd of buffalo decided they wanted to cross...slowly and it seemed that they didn't notice or care that vehicles were standing still for miles waiting for them. Rangers and rescue trucks came with lights and noise to try to scare them away, but they didn't seem to care. The Harley's in front of us were very alert because they were completely exposed to them charging. But then one of the bikers revved his engine and it scared the buffalo into running across the road. We stayed right behind them as they made noise going down the road. You can see hire close they were. Even though there are signs everywhere cautioning people to stay in vehicles, you have idiots who are out and getting too close. Then, while we were sitting there, Al looks out and noticed a herd of Elk in the distance...at least 30 of them. Took a few zoomed in pics the best he could. Notice the one where there is a buffalo and an elk in the
same picture. How many times week you see that?
This blog is about the next chapter.... about love, about life and about adventure! It is for our family and friends to follow along... so they know where we are! Catch us if you can!

Scott was one of those idiots when Megan was just 2 years old and in a back carrier. We hiked 3 miles in Custer State park and at one point there was a Bison right on the walking path and I went around it but Scott walked right next to it! scary!
