The original site of Cody City in 1895 holds 27 buildings dating from 1879-1901, 100 horse drawn vehicles and many Western and Indian artifacts. Three of the buildings were used by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as hangouts and hideouts between 1883-1897. John "Jeremiah" Johnston (1824-1900) is buried at the site along with Belle Drury, W.A. Galligher and Blind Bill Hoolihan. The movie Jeremiah Johnston was based on Johnston's life, played by Robert Redford who was an honorary pall bearer at Johnston's reburial service in 1974. He was a trapper, hunter, woodhawk, army scout, Marshal and Civil War Veteran.
This blog is about the next chapter.... about love, about life and about adventure! It is for our family and friends to follow along... so they know where we are! Catch us if you can!
