Lubbock TX to Roswell NM...Out of this World!

It's been a crazy few days!

Marley decided Al's duffel bag is a comfortable place to ride.
We drove al the way to this museum in Lubbock and they wouldn't let us bring Marley in. Even is his closed stroller. So we decided to document that we were there anyway! It would have been cool to see but to far to go back.

This was an ok park for a couple of nights. Not a destination for sure, but we got laundry done and a quick rest. There is nothing in Lubbock to see.
All packed up and ready to head toward Roswell.
My smiling hubs. He would smile at me no matter how tired he is. I love you Fred!
So many oil wells...out in the middle of nowhere, some along the road. This is just one of hundreds...
New Mexico really needs to put some effort into their welcome sign. It was pathetic. It looked like it was all shot or beat up or something and so tiny, I almost missed it!!! Sad really.
This was just a cool shot going into Roswell.
The International UFO Museum and Research Center... Fun!

Marley just didn't know what to think!!! LOL It was funny!

This is a brewery in Roswell. It was in such a sketchy neighborhood that we hesitated stopping. Al went in to get one to go for the camper. They actually canned it right their in front of him and sealed the lid. It was ok. It was VERY expensive. $25 for two beers.
Roswell Museum of Art Science & Industry.

The campground manager recommended this Mexican Restaurant for lunch. It was delicious and I forgot to take photos of our chimichangas...but I remembered after one bite to take one of the Cheesecake Fried Chimi with ice cream...Oh YUM!!!
Happy Anniversary to us!!! 20 Years went way too fast!

Got the truck washed. Max needed a good scrub!!

At the Roswell Visitor Center, the attendant took out picture. She was so friendly!

What a day! We went back to the campground, did a couple loads of laundry and just sat for a bit. Tomorrow is a travel day! We are headed to a Bureau of Land Management campground called Datil Well Recreation Area Campground. Directions say it is 1 mile west of Datil on US 60. No hookups. We are relying on our solar for power. This could be interested. I'll let you know how that goes. I won't have internet and we'll see about phone. Friday we will travel to Fools Hollow AZ. There I should have full hookups again. Have a great week!
