2024.03.21 Barleen's Dinner Show

We met a couple in and Arkansas Corp of Engineer Campground who told us we really should plan to go to Barleen's. We tried getting tickets back in December but they were sold out up to now! We had absolute front row center seats. How lucky was that? For $50 each we had a meal of pot roast and BBQ Ribs or Chicken, mashed potatoes, baby carrots, salad, dinner roll, chocolate cake and a drink. We were to arrive at 5:15, we ate at 6:00 and the show started at 7:00 and went to 9:45. During a 20 minute intermission, we had root beer floats or ice cream. What a show! These are some talented people. They played multiple instruments, sang rock and roll songs from 1955 though 1986. They did multiple jobs in the business as well. One girl was the baker, two of the women were twins and they along with their younger brother are children of the original owners. The guy who played Elvis was married to one of the twins. They had their children waiting tables and running sound equipment. They sell out at 400 tickets per show. Everything went like clockwork, was systematic and on time. We would recommend this show to anyone.

We couldn't have had better seating!

Elvis was versatile! This is the husband of one of the twins, and owner. He played Elvis, and did a heck of a job!

Elvis also played a Blues Brother...

Wife for Elvis and one of the twins. Her twin sister was playing the drums! Elvis played Sonny too. I really don't know how this guy changed his voice to much be he was good and sounded just like the character he was playing!

Nancy Sinatra...the girl married to the guy with the big hair and who is 4 months pregnant and she is the baker!

Mr. Big Hair. This guy might look strange but he is from Louisiana and he has talent. Between this guy and "Elvis" it was a tie between who was better.

Elvis again! And he made his voice sound just like Barney Fife!!!

Yup, Elvis again...and the younger brother of the twins.

Younger brother again.

Bought these earrings at the dinner show gift shop. Al bought a Barney Fife for President 2024 T-Shirt and we bought cookies for the baby fund. The girl wearing the red skit and boots is married to the guy with the big hair and she is 4 months pregnant. She is the chef for the dinner show and she baked cookies to sell in the gift shop for the baby fund.

Another beautiful sunset!

This video is included because its  road we have traveled several times and talked about in the blog. We've come to the closed section from both ends and explored the towns, sites and attractions along the way. I thought you might be interested to watch! I did not create this video. This guys other videos are interesting to watch too.
