24.04.05 Picketpost Mountain & Lost Trail Loop

Picketpost Mountain & Lost Trail Loop - 9 mile hike.

Part of our loop hike was on the Arizona Trail that extends from the Mexican border to the southern border of Utah.

Picketpost Mountain is in the background.  This mountain was actually used as a lookout for the military during the American Indian War.  There's a mailbox on top of the mountain where adventurous hikers leave a note so future generation know who visited there!

The desert flowers are blooming, mostly yellow and orange right now.

I lost count but I think we crossed the stream on this hike about 15 times.

It was just Linda and I today, a lot of the hikers have left The Resort and headed home already.

This is the spot where we stopped on this trail when Tom Wilkinson was leading the group.

These small cacti were blooming nicely!

You can see Weavers Needle way in the background.
